About Us.
George’s started in East Bethel, MN in the 1970's by an Army Veteran by the name of George. He first specialized in fiberglass, and then auto body repairs.
George’s fast evolution into repairing boats instead of vehicles, began when he noticed just how much boat repairs were a demand in our great state of 10,000 lakes.
He started with both fiberglass and aluminum specialized repairs; then added the service of marine-grade flooring, paint, and parts to his repertoire.
Once the shop began to take off and gain popularity in the Minnesota community in the 1980’s, our services expanded to not just repair, but also into boat storage. George’s became known more for their quality boat repairs, and less for its previous stellar auto repair reputation. Thus, allowing us to organically grow and reshape ourselves into what we call Georges Repair Center today. While under our new ownership, our technicians still continually pride themselves on quality work and creative concepts for your boat's body vision.
From aluminum welding for both boats and pontoons, to pontoon re-skins, parts installation, flooring replacements (both vinyl and carpet), to interior and exterior marine-grade painting for fiberglass; which uses high-end gelcoat, and aluminum boat painting with premium multistage paints, we really do it all!
